About Mahbubur Meenar
Dr. Meenar is the director of Community Planning + Visualization Lab, exploring the connection between people and their "total" environment through four research tracks: Community food [systems + environment + security], [Green + blue + grey] infrastructure, Sustainable [development + design + policy], and Digital [tools + technologies + societies]. His research has been funded by NASA, NSF, EPA, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and various state, local, and private agencies. He serves as associate editor of JPER and sits on the executive board of APA NJ. Twice, he's received APA NJ's Outstanding Community Engagement or Education Award. His scholarship appears in JAPA, JPER, JPL, Planning Research & Practices, Cities, Urban Forestry & Urban Greening, Landscape & Urban Planning, Urban Geography, and other leading journals.
